February Forum: "Treating cashews with kindness in Mozambique"

Don Larson was a senior manager at Hershey, a major global chocolate consumer product company in USA, when he felt God call him to leave it all, go to live in Mozambique and set up the Sunshine Nut Company, to manufacture roasted cashew nuts.  While the majority of the world’s cashew nuts are grown in Africa, Sunshine Nut is unique in  processing, packing and shipping direct to USA and Europe,  while other cashew nuts are diverted to Asia for processing.  This delivers not only a freshness quality advantage, but economic advantage to Africa by creating more value and jobs. In addition, the company supports the families involved in the venture, re-distributing 90% of profits to transform lives.  Don will tell us more about his story in connection with this pioneering venture
